Cuando llevaba a un amigo al aeropuerto de Marrakech me paré un segundo para aprovechar esta luna llena. Este es el minarete de la mezquita mayor de Marrakech, la "Koutoubia". Hay dos minaretes gemelos a este, todos del s. XII. Uno en Sevilla (La Giralda) y el otro en Rabat, la capital del pais. ademas de una replica moderna en Kansas City, ciudad hermanada con Sevilla desde 1992.

When I was taking a friend to Marrakech's airport I stopped a minute to take advantage of this full moon. This is the main tower or minaret belonging to the main mosquee of Marrakech, "La Koutoubia". There are two more twin towers from the XII century such as this one. One in the country's capital, Rabat, and the other in Sevilla, Spain (La Giralda), apart from a modern replica in Kansas city, sister city to Sevilla since 1992. |
