Estas son las dunas de arena del Nilo a su paso por Assuan, Egipto. Esta es una falúa, el modo de transporte tradicional a lo largo del río. Hace miles de años se utilizaron para transportar obeliscos y piedras de las canteras, por cientos de kilometros, hacia las piramides de Gizah. Actualmente solo llevan turistas en cortos paseos alrededor de la ciudad y sus islas.

Those are sand dunes in the Nile river, close to Assuan, Egypt.The boat is a "falua", traditional way of transportation along the river. Thousands of years ago they were used to move obelisks and big stones across hundreds of miles from the quarrys towards the pyramids in Gizah. Nowadays they only carry tourists in short rides around the city and it's islands. |
